Description

Baba Marta is is one of the oldest and still existing traditions in Bulgaria which is a yearly awaited Holiday of kids and adults.
People exchange little wrist bands, pins or dolls which are handmade with wool yarn strings and are called Martenitsa.
These amulets are always in red and white colors and signify Red for good health/life/birth and White for wisdom and clarity – which means anyone giving you one is wishing you all the above throughout the year.
They are given on the 1st of March and worn throughout March until one sees a stork bird or a tree which has started to blossom.
The Martenitsa is then taken off – a wish is made and tied on a tree.
Lucky Hunt Martenitsa is charged with lots of good luck and positive energy as we rescue animals and when buying one you rescue them too as 100% of money go directly to animals in need.
